Topologies, magnets, and rotor skew

Engineering-grade parameterisation of the motor cross-section. Invalid geometries are rejected before mesh generation. Interactive radial, axial, and 3D solid previews.

Windings, harmonics, load points, dq outputs

Winding layout with kw and MMF spectra before FEA. Operating point by dq current injection or phase advance. Full-period nonlinear solve with Park-frame inductances and flux linkages.

04Solver

Purpose-built C FEA engine

Structured polar mesh, CSR sparse assembly, Jacobi-preconditioned conjugate gradient, frozen-permeability incremental passes. Built for SPMSM cross-sections, not adapted from a general mesher.

Mesh generation

Automated polar discretisation. Region tagging: yoke, teeth, slots, magnets, airgap, rotor. Dirichlet boundary on stator OD.

Nonlinear solve

Newton-Raphson on steel BH with reluctivity derivative. Permanent magnet remanence as source term.

Rotor motion

Integer-cell moving band over one electrical period. Alignment pass for true dq reference frame.

Skew

Per-slice independent FEA. Aggregated axial ripple and mean torque.

Torque and EMF

dq torque formulation, flux linkage integration, back-EMF from d(lambda)/dt.

Loss models

Steinmetz core loss, magnet eddy, SKF bearing catalogue, windage drag, conductor I2R.
